Day 5 - Can a blog send me customers?

Day 5
So now the raspberry bed is half weeded or should that be wed!
And I've sown some seeds - herbs and salad and set them up on the kitchen window. Cosy!
And my gems of pink quartz are making up nicely.
The Argentium silver which I bought sets off the quartz beautifully but my does it get used up fast in wrapping - I would love to order some more but somethings got to sell firs, doesn't it.
Today I'll create some pieces using Gold Filled Wire.
So off to my workshop then
Bye all

Day 4 - Online Business Success

Day 4
Morning all!

So back to the reason for this Blog - using social media to promote my Jewellery shop - SilverBeadsnPearls

Today already

  • I uploaded and Tweeted another Vintage piece
  • Added some more members to my Circle
  • Favorited some items
  • Started another Treasury

So I'm working on my designs with pink quartz and pink/peach freshwater pearls and loving it.
But who out there wants to buy from SilverBeadsnPearls?
That is the BIG question!

Must also weed my cabbage bed today
After I've taken my compulsory walk
Talk later, love to all
Ann

Day 3
Good new week to y'all
So question is
'have I found a great new method of getting in control of the everyday'?

Because I blogged my intention to tidy in the morning - I JUST FELT I HAD TO DO IT!
Heck it was Sunday and the papers were sitting on the coffee table and the lounge was cosy - but I slaved myself to spend nearly 2 hours clearing the dining room of all my jewellery stuff getting back into my old leathercraft workshop (now a lovely bright gym/conservatory)
Feng Shui - not - I didn't discard anything - but I can find everything!

So if this method works my declaration for this week is
'Design with my pink beads and new supply of Argentium and do not be sidetracked!

Pic of the day is this lovely big chunk of Vintage 925 silver.

Day 2 Sunday lovely Sunday

Day 2
Hi all
Dull and dreary Sunday morning though it is I'm planning a light lunch with Himself and packing him off to the Golf Club. Then I get a long walk and back to my jewellery design.
I'm seriously in need of tidying up first and then planning for the week ahead.
Progress report
I've created my first Treasury on Etsy and now need to figure how to link it in to craftyirelandteam!
The Treasury theme is Wishbone charms.
I wanted to base it on Irish shops because it's nice to spread the 'luck of the Irish during March'
But I didn't succeed so its based worldwide.

Picture for today is one of my own wishbone pieces with a nice little opal gemstone enclosed.

Let you know tomorrow how the tidying up goes!

Day 1 Sunshinny Birthday to Me

Day 1
Lovely bright sunshinny morning here in Wexford.
And Happy Birthday to me too.
This is officially day 1 of my 69 day blog.
My challenge is to use social media to promote my new Etsy Jewellery design business and become part of this interesting world.http://www.etsy.com/shop/SilverBeadsnPearls
My shop is just a few months old and is very eclectic right now.
So I need your help to get it going and find my niche.
I have quite a lot of Destach from 45 years of crafting and am learning new Jewellery skills all the time. New designs have never been a problem. Just finding something unique is difficult.
Some of my Destach of lovely Irish Pigsuede from my Leathercraft days in the '80's

Have a lovely weekend
Talk tomorrow

One Day to Plan my Blog

Good morning everybody/anybody out there!
So right now I should be having my morning brisk walk but it's raining a little - so I'm talking to you!
Some more about myself then.
Apart from the aforementioned jewellery I like to grow our own organic fruit and vegetables, with a little help from Himself.  The sort of stuff we grow easily outdoors here would be, onions, leeks, celery, carrots, parsnips,  sprouts and cabbage and of course potatoes (we're Irish) In the fruit department we would have strawberries, raspberries, all the currants and blueberries and I'm trying to cultivate goji berries. In our glasshouses we have a peach tree, some grapes, tomatoes, squashes and peppers and cucumber.
That made me tired just writing about them, but really it's quite enjoyable, satisfying and nourishing.

The other matter taking me from my current obsession is that we have a lovely little bungalow which we inherited from Himself's aunt which we have made into a Holiday Home. See pic.
From April onwards I need to keep this in 4* condition with linens etc. So really I'm tooooo busy to be starting out on a new road however much I am in control.
But handcrafts have always been my second love.
My family come first, Himself, my three children and their spouses and my four grandchildren.
Enough about us for now.
Nice talking to you.

Two days to Plan my Blog

Hi there and a big Irish welcome to my blog!
I just created my SilverBeadsnPearls-blog, mainly to tell you about my new creations, but I’ll also be blogging about my new jewellery making techniques,
my past history of leatherworking, featuring other artist's crafts and keeping you who are interested up to date on living "The Good Life" here in an Irish village in Co Wexford!
Saturday 25 February is D-Day for me as that is when I embark on the challenge I've set myself.
It's a birthday - not a watershed one mind - but close, verrry close.
So having many times challenged myself with new projects and mostly succeeding, I am now setting myself the goal of creating an online jewellery making business which becomes somewhat worthwhile in 69 days!
All will be revealed in time.
Enjoy your reading.
